Hi there! I'm Kendra
I was lucky enough to make it to 40 with only 2 cars - each bought from someone I knew.
When it was time to buy a new car, it stands to reason then that I freaked out.
I had two things:
1) absolutely no experience, and
2) a healthy fear of being taken advantage of.
So I did the only thing any self-respecting nerd would do: I dug in and figured it out.
And after scoring a killer deal, I knew other women needed to know this stuff.
So I compiled everything I learned into the Confident Car Buying toolkit.

- What exactly will I learn from this guide? This guide walks you through every step of buying a new car as a solo woman—from researching the right make and model, to understanding dealership tactics, to negotiating the best price with confidence.
You’ll also learn how to avoid common pitfalls, handle financing, and stay in control throughout the process.
It’s a complete roadmap designed to make car buying easy and stress-free. - What's the format? This 107-page toolkit comes in two formats: PDF for those who wish to print it out, and Google Doc for those who like to hop around using the outline sidebar. It also includes a Google Sheets template to help keep you organize as you navigate the process.
- I'm looking at buying used, is this for me?While there will no doubt be nuggets of gold in here for you as well, this guide is geared more toward those looking to buy new.
- Is this guide only for first-time car buyers? Not at all! While it’s perfect for first-time buyers, it’s also great for anyone who wants to feel more confident, prepared, and in control of the car-buying process. Whether you’ve bought a car before or this is your first time, the strategies and insights in this guide will help you get the best deal.
- Does this guide cover factory-ordering and leasing? This guide focuses exclusively on buying a new car. If you’re looking to lease, this might not be the right fit for you.
If you're looking to factory order, a lot of this information can still apply. I didn't factory order so I can't speak from experience, but there's always room to negotiate the price on any new car. - Do I need any prior knowledge about cars to use this guide?Nope! You don’t need to know the difference between torque and horsepower (I still don't!). This guide is written in plain, simple language, breaking down the car-buying process so anyone can understand it—even if you’re not a “car person.”
- What do you mean by “third party research”?I can give you everything I learned about buying a new car but I can’t give you the invoice and retail prices for every make and model (plus packages and accessories).
But others can.
To truly succeed in negotiating the right deal for you, you need to know the cost the dealership paid for the car and everything that comes with it (the packages and accessories).
In this toolkit, I recommend two resources that will provide this information for a small additional cost ($40-$70). You get to pick which one to use. - I'm a dude. Should I buy this guide or is it just for women? The strategy in this guide is NOT just for women. Men who haven't the first clue about negotiating or cars -- or maybe who just want to make sure they're not getting ripped off by Dan the Shady Dealer -- would absolutely benefit from Car Buying Confidence.
- Why should I trust this guide? This guide was created by someone who’s been in your shoes: a solo woman, nervous about buying a car for the first time.
I’m not a car expert—I’m just someone who went down the rabbit hole to figure all this out for myself, and now I’m sharing everything I learned with you. It’s designed specifically to help women navigate dealerships and get a great deal without the stress or intimidation.
